Members Area Help

The user name and password you entered are not valid for access to the members area. Please review the troubleshooter below for password reminders and other helpful information.

 Common Errors:

1. Have you registered?

2. Are you reversing your user name and password?

3. Are you including capital letters in your password?

4. Are you using temporary credentials?

5. Did you forget your user name or password?

6. Is your SPA membership current?

7. Other problems...

 Have you registered?

Is this your first visit to SPA's members only area? If so, you must complete a brief, one-time
registration process to activate your password.

PLEASE NOTE: Temporary credentials issued when you join online are automatically activated, and do not require registration. However, these credentials expire within a few weeks of being generated, and you will need to register to activate your permanent credentials when your membership card arrives. If you aren't sure if your credentials are temporary, you can find out by examining your password. If your password is a number, your credentials are temporary.

Reversing your User Name and Password?

Your "user name" (or "user id" on some systems) is your membership number, not your last name. This is counter-intuitive, but necessary to ensure that everyone has a unique identity in the password database.

 Capitalizing your Password?

Your password (your last name) must be all lowercase. For example, "smith" is correct, but "Smith" and "SMITH" will not work. Make sure that CAPS LOCK is not on, and be careful not to capitalize the first letter.

 Using Temporary Credentials?

Temporary credentials are provided to those who join SPA online using a credit card. These credentials have a numeric user name (100000, 200000, 300000, etc.), and a randomly-generated numeric password. Temporary credentials expire within two to four weeks. If your temporary credentials no longer work, you need to complete the brief, one-time
registration process to activate your permanent credentials. Please note that your temporary credentials have no relationship to your membership number.

 Forgot your Password?

Presuming you have registered, your credentials are as follows:

User Name: your six-digit SPA membership number
Password: your last name, all lowercase

Are you a current SPA member?

If you are not a member, or if your membership has lapsed, you will not be able to access the members only area.
Join SPA today to take advantage of membership benefits such as the members only section of our web site.

If your membership lapsed, but has since been renewed, or if you recently joined SPA, please allow up to two weeks for our online membership database to be updated.

PLEASE NOTE: Membership in regional organizations (such as the Washington, Minnesota, Montana, Columbia, California, Australian, or Canadian Seaplane Pilots Association or the B.C. Floatplane Pilots Association) does not qualify you for access to the SPA members only area. These regional organizations are not affiliated with the Seaplane Pilots Association. To become a member of the Seaplane Pilots Association, visit our brief online membership application.
