Background expected

The intent of the course is to give participants an idea of what modern statistical methods can contribute to climate research. We expect you to have basic familiarity with statistics, such as t-tests and linear regression models, but you do not need any background in the topics covered in the course. Computing exercises will mainly use the free software package R (


Every day will have two hours of lectures in the mornings, and three hours of computer exercises in the afternoons. Thus a typical day will look like this

Participants are responsible for their own accomodation.
